Do your students need help with their drawing skills? My TK students enjoy practicing their drawing skills on a daily basis…and go through a ton of paper! Drawing for Kids is a user-friendly app that helps students with their drawing skills and hand-eye coordination. There are animals and other objects that students can choose from. I downloaded the free app that comes with six different animals that students can practice drawing. For $2.99 you can unlock all 30 of the adorably animated pictures.
After selecting which picture they want to draw, students are provided with lines to trace and different color choices. Students can either use their finger to trace the lines or a stylus to practice pencil grasp. The app provides step by step instruction for each picture. When the picture is complete, the object is animated and saved.
My favorite feature is that each step is given verbally to students. The app uses vocabulary such as round line, long, and also includes body parts for the animals. If you are looking for a fun way for students to practice their drawing skills without using so much paper, Drawing for Kids is the app for you!
